Prohibition Resistance: The Industrious Tour

By Brewery District CURC (other events)

39 Dates Through Jan 03, 2015

ABOUT ABOUT

The 1 hour tour will visit one of the most unique pre-Prohibition breweries in Cincinnati, including lagering cellars deep below Over-the-Rhine, before returning to the Christian Moerlein Malthouse Tap Room. Along the way you'll learn how Cincinnati was one of the major brewing centers in the country, how beer was made in pre-Prohibition times, and hear the stories of the industrious workers who made the beer.

Participants will start and end at the Christian Moerlein Malthouse Tap Room and their historic tap room. Walking through the neighborhood, we'll visit the new mural celebrating Cincinnati's beer industry, before going deep underground in the historic Schmidt Brothers lagering cellars and tunnels.
